>> The Problem: Most global opportunities are not entry level. Corporations and global NGOs that are hiring are looking for candidates that can begin making an impact on Day 1 so they require fluency in a foreign language and multiple years of living overseas and job experience.

>> Our Answer: GoCorps finds entry-level positions that are a hybrid of marketplace impact and Christian discipleship and ministry. All placements are serving alongside long-term mission teams, with mentoring in cross-cultural communication, language acquisition and overall ‘living overseas 101.’ Our placements are a great way to gain real experience using your degree, but also be developed in living missionally and the many soft skills of working in the marketplace.

Our Distinctives: Two-Year and Skill-Set Oriented Placements

>> Two-year placements are the sweet spot: long enough to learn a new language and make an impact in a global project. Long enough to get meaningful job experience and to make deep relationships. But short enough that it makes good sense professionally and personally no matter what a student’s long-term career aspirations are.

>> Skill-set-oriented placements provide a natural and felt-need way for Goers to create relationships and engage authentically and in a growing way with the culture and place that they are serving. Enabling students to bring their career and their passions with them means serving globally is relevant to all of the students on your campus.

'Like expedia.com for serving overseas' - Our Placement List of has over 150 opportunities that have been selected because they are for recent grads to use their degree and be mentored both professionally. We are a resource for you to engage your globally minded graduating seniors with practical, achievable global next steps!
Career Fairs, Info and 1:1 Meetings, and Handshake - These are the bread and butter ways for connecting with existing events and models through career services offices. Our hope is to be a familiar face in your office and to students on campus by doing formal campus visits once a semester and online by optimizing our presence on Handshake.
Panelists and Speakers for Global and Vocational Events - Our network of staff and alumni offer a variety of perspectives and experiences around the concept of combining one’s career with the great commission. GoCorps alumni in their mid-20s offer compelling and relatable stories and experience for upperclassmen considering their first step after graduation. Invite us to speak at an existing event or let’s collaborate to create a special event around using your degree overseas.
Integrated Events with Campus Ministries and Study Abroad - GoCorps occupies a unique space in which we celebrate and focus on students using their degree, but instead of immediately diving into domestic entry level jobs, GoCorps offers graduates global positions that are developmental and also offer direct experience using their degree toward a meaningful international NGO project.

How Do Finances Work?

Goers do fundraising to cover the cost of their position, which includes cross-cultural and language training, travel expenses and a monthly stipend for their living expenses and student loan payments, and Goers are mentored on the field by experienced team leaders.

Fundraising Model - GoCorps has pioneered three key innovations as it relates to Christians serving alongside global, Christian NGO and mission projects which enables Goers to go from 0 to fully funded in 15 weeks. Our resuls: 80% complete their fundraising in 15 weeks or less, and a full 94% in less than 20 weeks.
Where does the money go? - At least 82% of the funds raised by our Goers go directly to their training, travel, and living expenses. The other 18% goes to cover administrative costs of their sending organization (15%) and GoCorps (3%).
$5000 Student Debt Assistance! - Goers pay down more in their student loans than students who get marketplace jobs in the US! Here’s how: The stipend that Goers receive covers their student loan payments. On top of paying their payments during their two-year placement, Goers receive $5,000 at the end of their placement to be paid to the principal of their student loans!

How GoCorps works - GoCorps placements are entry-level positions for recent grads.

Year 1 is focused on culture and language learning, and developing cross-cultural competency and communication skills.

Year 2 allows students to take on leadership responsibilities and build on the language and relationships that were developed in their first year.

After their 2 years, our Goers have all the options on the table... marketplace, global, grad school or ministry! They have two years of cross-cultural living experience, practical real world job experience in their major, many 'out of their comfort zone' experiences and stories, and life-long friendships.

GoCorps placements are designed for globally-minded Christians who want to make a difference, grow in their faith and use their unique background and skill-set.

Our Secret Sauce

Our Coaches are our secret sauce! Our coaches are trained to ask good questions and listen, and are experts in helping students explore their options. Inquiry Coaching Sessions usually are 1 hour Zoom calls that focus on asking lots of questions, then offering advice on pathways to global service and gaining global experience. In these sessions we help students discern their readiness, and then consider the four basic ways to live and work overseas (marketplace, missions, service, hybrid). Finally, we make sure students receive three handpicked options from our placement list that would fit their unique personality and background.
