Vietnam has become a five-star destination for both tourism and business purposes, and no wonder. Pristine white sand beaches, lovely terraced rice fields in the highlands, world-renowned national parks, including Halong Bay, all contribute to making Vietnam one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The people are winsome and easy to like, friendly and hardworking. Their hard work has enabled Vietnam to progress dramatically from poverty to prosperity, and on the political world scene as well. An opponent of the United States a half-century ago, Vietnam now welcomes Americans with arms opened wide.
Our organization enjoys a special relationship with the country, being recently recognized as one of the top NGOs serving in Vietnam. Goers will teach students English or your field-of-study (using English) at the prestigious Hanoi University (HANU) in a classroom or small group setting, or one-on-one. You will also be enrolled as a Vietnamese language student at HANU. During the remainder of your time you will be involved in ministry staff development training, Bible studies, and in a community with other resident team members. It is an ideal embedded situation where you will have opportunities to befriend many university staff and students, and other local Vietnamese.
