Business and Marketing Specialist

Uganda, also known as the Pearl of Africa, is a place on the equator where you will find the beginning of the Nile River, Lake Victoria, and a temperate climate, but also vulnerable teenage girls who have dropped out of elementary school. Poverty, poor education, and a broken infrastructure coupled with an enormous lack of opportunity have left many Ugandan young ladies without an education and without hope of a future.

The New Life Ministry Center has recently been constructed in the heart of this impoverished region. At New Life, we give young ladies a second chance at life through education, skills training, and sharing the hope of Christ with them. Afterwards, some of these girls can apply to be part of the Internship Training Program, where they put to use their newly learned skills! We currently operate a Salon and a Tailoring Boutique in a nearby town where young adult girls are trained on how to run a small business. This is where we need you!

We have a wonderful staff of both nationals and missionaries that teach and run this ministry. We’re looking for someone who is self motivated with an education in business or marketing to help further develop our Christ-centered small business internship program. These young ladies are learning to run an ethical business as well as advanced sewing and hairdressing skills. This person would help teach our contextualized village business curriculum, help develop marketable fair trade products, coach interns and work closely with our Ugandan staff (this person does not need to know how to do tailoring or hairdressing).
