Hey friends,
Where do you think we are when you see this picture? It may look like we’re in a big Asian market, but we’re actually in someone’s house garage! When I first started getting to know my Rohingya friends, I learned many of them shop at stores that their friends have right inside their homes. A lot of the stores have many different products from Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. They have everything from clothes, skin products, snacks, and even some electronics. I enjoy going to these little hidden stores with my Rohingya friends and seeing how each one is laid out. I often feel like I’m in another world when I enter them. It’s just another unique aspect of doing missions in the states: the most unlikely places are sometimes where you can learn the most about a friend’s culture.
