Business - Leadership
Business and leadership skills are some of the best ways to serve and empower the poorest of the poor and to have a platform for relationships and sharing the gospel. Placements within this track are focused on one of these areas:
- Job creation and business development
- Leadership and management training
Recent grads who have an interest or background in business, entrepreneurship and community development are needed to join small businesses that are creating employment opportunites or NGOs that are seeking to give the poor a hand up. Basic business instruction and training can empower many individuals to provide for their own families, which then leads to transformed communities. The benefits that come from gainful employment include increased self worth, better health and education for families, stronger families and communities, more local stability and peace and stronger local institutions, including churches. A holistic ministry approach is created when initiatives like this work in conjunction with spiritual outreach, education, health and justice.
