GoCorps is similar to the Peace Corps in that we are recruiting young leaders to serve globally among the poor. Both agencies are committed to service, offering challenging and rewarding full-time service assignments overseas. While Peace Corps volunteers serve for two years in humanitarian positions, GoCorps volunteers are placed to serve with teams of other believers for Christian service. GoCorps assignments are full-time for two years with the opportunity to renew after the two years.
The GoCorps mission is to provide a path for the emerging generation to engage in mid-term missions using their gifts, abilities and passions among the least reached and the global poor. GoCorps exists to help recent grads of all majors to engage in the two great injustices of the least reached:
- First, there are still 1.6 billion least reached peoples that have little or no access to the good news of Jesus Christ.
- Second, these 1.6 billion unreached people also make up 95% of the poorest of the poor on our planet.
Through enabling graduates of all majors to give two years to serve among the poor and the least reached, GoCorps is raising up a new generation of global christians who live missionally and are finding their role in the great commission.
The GoCorps is a partnership of leading missions agencies that recruits, trains and sends recent university grads of all majors to serve two year global service placements. The GoCorps is a onramp to the nations through which graduating seniors and recent grads can apply in the Winter of their senior year and be on the field in the Fall after they graduate. Throughout the application and acceptance process, we will help you determine which GoCorps track is best suited for you and help make the path clear for you spend two years of quality Christian service among the least reached through several of the most effective, long-standing and forward thinking missions sending organizations.
