Step 4: Placement and Orientation
If you're accepted as a GoCorps volunteer, you'll receive an email with your 'placement assignment.' While we do our best to accommodate your preferences in the application process, your placement assignment may or may not be in your first service track preference. Whatever your placement assignment is, know that it is a result of much prayer, and many hours of learning about you and synthesizing that with the current needs on the fields overseas.
You'll have a week to decide if you are going to accept your GoCorps placement. Your next major step forward in the process after that is the orientation week (May 31-June 5, 2011). The GoCorps Orientation (GO) Week is your chance to meet and worship with the other GoCorps volunteers from across the country. In addition, you'll receive important foundational training and importantly, this is where your fundraising process will be launched!
After a week of great fellowship, large and small group meetings, paradigm-bending teachings and lots of prayer and worship, you'll be sent back home to raise up a prayer and financial partnership team.
